Most law firm Google Business Profiles look the same.

A logo, a cover photo, and a wall of reviews (if they’re lucky).

Most are static and forgettable. Potential clients scrolls past without a second look.

Here’s a way to stop the scroll with a little profile hack I stumbled onto last week, and it only takes about ten minutes to set up.

The hack: add a looping video animation directly to your Google Business Profile.

Here’s how it looks.

Here's exactly what I did:

  1. Built a simple looping animation in Canva.

  2. Exported it as a video at 1080 x 1350.

  3. Uploaded it straight to my client's Google Business Profile.

That's it.

Now when someone clicks on the business, they see the cover photo AND the animation playing right inside the profile.

The video is perfectly formatted on desktop and just as clean on mobile.

Why this works

A static profile blends in. Motion makes it pop.

And, it doesn’t take much!

Our eyes are wired to follow movement, so a short animation focuses attention the moment the profile loads.

You are not paying for it, you are not gaming anything, and your competitors almost certainly are not doing it yet.

The best use case

If your firm has won an award, this is the easiest way to show it off.

Same goes for a new practice area, a five star rating milestone, or a "now accepting clients" message.

You can also use it for a clean video walkthrough of your office.

This isn’t a law firm profile, but it illustrates how it can be done by slicing the video into thirds.

Try it this week

Build a looping video, export at 1080 x 1350, and upload it to your profile.

Ten minutes of work for a profile that actually stops the scroll.

That’s it. Steal this idea before everyone else catches on.

Ciao for now,
